What Is Miniroos?

MiniRoos is designed for kids of all abilities, aged 4 – 11 years. The nation-wide initiative uses short, game-based sessions to introduce the sport of football to newcomers in an inclusive way. It focuses on learning new skills, being active, making life-long friends and, potentially, unearthing the next generation of Socceroos or Westfield Matildas.

What Age Groups Are Available?

The Limestone Coast Football Association is offering the following age groupings for our Miniroos aged players.

  • Under 6 (4 to 5 year olds)
  • Under 8 (6 to 7 year olds)
  • Under 11 (8 to 11 year olds)

  • Additional Age Group For Under 12's

The Limestone Coast Football Association is offering Under 12's the opportunity to play in the newly formed Under 12 Development (10 to 11 year olds) who will play on Sunday mornings with the Under 12 age group.

Does It Depend When My Childs Birthday Is?

Your childs age at the 1st of January will determine which age group they will be eligible to play in. For example, if your child is 7 on the 1st of January and they turn 8 on the 1st of February, they are still eligible to play Under 8 Miniroos.

    Who Is Our Miniroos Co-Ordinator?

Our Miniroos co-ordinator for season 2024 will again be Lauren Cutting. Lauren is a mum of two energetic young Miniroo lion boys, who will be playing in our Under 11's team and an eager young lady taking part for the first time in our Under 6's. The club wishes to thank Lauren for volunteering to take on the role again.
